Pure Hot Chocolate Flakes, made from just cacao and unrefined sugar.
At 70%
A light-roasted Tanzania with raspberry milkshake notes and lovely natural sweetness.
A light-roasted Uganda with notes of chocolate orange cookies and similarly high natural sweetness to the Tanzania.
A medium-roasted Mexico made from Lavado cacao ('washed' rather than fermented), which is significantly less sweet than our other 70% flakes, with notes of malt, walnuts and nutmeg.
This ancient Mayan process makes for chocolate and hot chocolate which is rich in flavonoids and theobromine.
At 80%
A medium-roasted Philippines with a more classic intense chocolate feel, low acidity and notes of cinnamon, cream and cocoa. Presents less sweetness than the 70% (and you can always add a little sugar if it's a touch too intense).
Again, a medium-roasted Mexico Lavado with even lower levels of sweetness and notes of deep, dark chocolate torte. Even higher in flavonoids and theobromine than its 70% equivalent.
Interesting
All are designed to work just as well with oat milk as cow's milk.
All are finely flaked for easy dissolving and no bottom-cup sludge when heating.
Suitable for vegans but all are made in a factory where we handle nuts and flour.
Work equally as well with Velvetiser-type machines or steaming on espresso machines.
(If using an espresso machine, stretch slightly at the start of steaming to give some body and micro texture like you would for milk for a flat white.)
Heating in a pan also works, but we recommend using a hand-held frother to get that creamy head texture. The perfect texture definitely makes for a more delicious drink.
